Installation of Kanji Font Support
and
Japanese User Interface
for
OneView Version 5.0 and higher:

The following information details the installation of CAD Centric's OneView software application on a system running Japanese OS and requiring support of the Kanji font within the application.

These instructions provide details for both enabling the Japanese specific user interface within OneView and enabling the display of the Kanji Font on drawings being displayed in OneView.

The process can be outlined as follows:

  • Install OneView;

  • License register OneView;

  • Add support for Japanese UI;

  • Add support for Kanji font.

1. Software Download Location:

The current version of CAD Centric's OneView software application is available for download here for the full application installation.

2. Software License Registration:

Once OneView is installed on the computer, the software must be licensed.  The software license file is located here.

Additional installation instructions are available here.

3. Kanji Drawing FontSupport:

To enable the display of Kanji within OneView drawings, copy the file “kanji.fnt” from the optional directory (located within the default OneView Fonts directory) directly into the default OneView Fonts directory.

Example:

Copy

C:\Program Files\CAD Centric Systems\OneView\Fonts\Optional\kanji.fnt

To

C:\ Program Files\CAD Centric Systems\OneView\Fonts\kanji.fnt

4. Japanese Application GUI Support:

To enable the Japanese Language User Interface (on Japanese OS Machines only) you must download the language file. Then place this file in your OneView directory (i.e C:\ Program Files\CAD Centric Systems\OneView\)

You must then also edit the following registry keys for each user to define the installed OneView language:

Both required keys are located in:

\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CAD Centric Systems\OneView\Settings\

    Set the value of “Default Language” to “JAPANESE”

    Set the value of “Language File” to the location of “Japanese.dat”

    (i.e C:\ Program Files\CAD Centric Systems\OneView\Japanese.dat)

5. Re-start OneView and you should be working in a Japanese Localized environment.
